Some owners of my drawings have been nice enough to let me know how much they like and enjoy them. Here’s what they said:

Rob-Blake-Web

My drawing of Rob Blake will be a treasured piece of artwork in my home for years to come. The details are incredible…Jim is a truly gifted artist. This piece serves as the focal point in my home office. I can’t tell you how many great comments I’ve received on it. Thanks Jim!

Jim’s rendering of U2 bassist Adam Clayton (which was given to me as a gift for my 40th birthday) is an astonishing piece of artwork. From the rumpled and worn look of his clothes to the lines of his bass, Jim has captured the spirit of the musician in action. But the biggest achievement in this picture was Jim’s ability to capture Adam’s bleached blonde hair – using graphite. Fantastic!

Incredible detail, quality and design; this one of a kind drawing, really captures the intensity of one of my favorite old school soccer players, Alexi Lalas, and hangs proudly in my home.

Steve McQueen as Bullit

As a serious action movie memorabilia collector, I consider my Steve McQueen drawing the centerpiece of my collection. It captures the moody tension of Frank Bullitt’s character perfectly. Jim’s use of light and shading adds a dramatic touch, adding depth and realism.

We built a room around this Drawing! When my husband, an avid golfer, turned 50, the best gift he received that year was this drawing of golfer Corey Pavin in a sand trap attempting to make par. The details are so vivid, from the creases in his pants, the position of his arms, to the sand in flight. We put it against a deep red wall and that became our golf room. This room holds many trophies and awards, but this special drawing is the first thing people admire when they walk in. Jim has a great eye for detail!

For our wedding, we knew we didn’t want a boring and typical wedding guest book to serve as a record of who came to our wedding. We didn’t know what we wanted other than something unique and personal that wouldn’t end up in a dusty old closet. We turned to Jim for help.Jim helped us brainstorm and develop a drawing that was reflective of us, yet still functioned as an alternative to a guestbook. We knew his concept would be a hip modern work of beauty that we’d love to look at long after our wedding. He created an elegant drawing as a frame with an ivory center, which was easy for guests to sign as they entered our wedding reception.

Ultimately, Jim turned our wedding guest book into a special keepsake, that we now have displayed in our home, keeping our wedding memories out in the open rather than up on the bookshelf, and acting as a beautiful reminder of Jim’s talent and vision.

Lynn-Swann-Web

For graduating college, Jim drew me a picture of Lynn Swann making his famous diving catch in Super Bowl X. The drawing is hanging behind my desk in my office and has been a focal point of the room ever since. The detail in the players is amazing and the drawing constantly brings me back to when the Steelers dominated the decade of the seventies.
